      You will be responsible for the preparation, cooking and serving of breakfast and lunch for residents with learning disabilites and dementia.  You will ensure that food handling, cleanliness, risk assessments and health and safety are adhered to in the highest possible standard.

      You will also maintain adequate stocks of food (fresh, frozen and dried) and undertake monthly stock checks.

      The working pattern will be:

      Week one: Thursday and Friday 8.30am until 2.30pm

      Week two: Saturday and Sunday 8.30am until 2.30pm

      We need someone who has experience in the area of complex needs (alcohol use, substance use, offending and mental health) as well as an interest in working with people who were formerly homeless or at risk of homelessness.

      Shifts would be from 8-4pm or 1-9pm Monday to Friday and 1-9pm on weekends, there is a rolling rota and staff are usually expected to work one weekend out of four. The rota includes bank holidays and lone working.

      You will have a caseload as a keyworker and will need to meet with your customers 1:1 weekly as well as being able to complete paperwork, use capita and other IT, manage health and safety requirements and support customers to manage tenancies including seeking move on.

      We support adults who have a learning & physical disability with all of their daily living needs. The schemes includes specialist equipment, including hoists, in order to transfer between wheelchairs, baths, showers and chairs.

      You will provide a high standard of care and support to the customers with their day to day needs both at home and within the community.  You should have a person focused approach, a positive attitude and ability to encourage choice, dignity, and privacy, respect and community participation for the customers we support.

      We provide 24 hour support across 7 days per week. Staff wanting awake night considered but must be available to attend training & supervision during the day when required. Corringham service requires staff to carry out Sleep in duties.

      Day shifts will be a mixture of Early & late shifts.
