Are you a confident, customer focused person? Are you a good communicator who can remain calm under pressure? Can you empathise whilst still being professional? Do you have what it takes to work in one of the most challenging boroughs in London? If so read on
About Family Mosaic
Family Mosaic provides good quality homes and housing services to over 45,000 people in communities across London and Essex. We have over 20,000 properties, as well as providing homes for people who need extra support or those with temporary housing needs.
The job
Reporting to the Area Housing Manager, you’ll be out of the office visiting residents for more than 60% of your week covering your own patch in east London. You’ll need access to a vehicle for this role, in which you will be acting as contract manager for estate services and managing a varied caseload.
Cases will cover the full housing management spectrum, from organising support services for individuals to addressing and resolving problems such as antisocial behaviour and sub-letting. Your key challenge will be to help residents sustain and get more from their tenancies by accessing our services.
You
A good knowledge of the relevant legislation would be ideal but is not essential. If you have demonstrable customer service and time management skills, together with lots of common sense and enthusiasm, we’ll give you the on-the-job training you need.
The ability to deal with problems requiring multi-agency solutions would be advantageous. You’ll be an excellent communicator who is confident and able to represent the organisation, whether in meetings, clients’ homes or in court. In return we will provide in-house training for a post that is the first step to a career in housing, that offers an excellent salary, an annual bonus, 25 days’ annual leave and additional benefits.
